    Our client, an electronics manufacturer in Chatsworth California is seeking a Production Buyer to join their team. As a Production Buyer, you will be part of the procurement team supporting manufacturing and R&D. The ideal candidate will have blueprint/specification reading ability, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and APICS certification  which will align successfully in the organization.

     Job Title:   Production Buyer

    Location:   Chatsworth, CA

    Pay Range:  $73K - $81K/annually D.O.E.

     

    What’s the Job?

      Coordinate all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery. Analyze requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier and date commodity is needed. Assure delivery on schedule, negotiated price and quality, maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices and other documents.  Investigate and/or interview potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements, negotiate lowest possible cost balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs. Assist in resolving discrepancies with invoices and receiving documents. 

    What’s Needed?

      Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience buying electronic components, PCBs and raw materials in an electronics manufacturing environment.  APICS Certification a huge plus! ERP/MRP experience and advanced MS Office Suite skill. Exceptional organizational and negotiating skills.

    What’s the Job?

    As a University Recruitment Coordinator, you will be responsible for working with leadership across Oxy to identify current and prospective hiring targets domestically for University and Technical College recruitment programs. Your key responsibilities include:

      Work with leadership across Oxy to identify current and prospective hiring targets domestically for University and Technical College recruitment program. Determine requirements for campus recruiting and number of schedules, disciplines, and locations by modeling hiring targets against historical acceptance rates, percentage of offers made, applications from each university, etc. Identify new strategies and process improvements to effectively manage campus and on-base recruiting efforts. Coordinate and conduct recruitment efforts in conjunction with campus teams to deliver top-quality new grad and intern candidates, aligned with Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 University targets. Maintain historical records of new grads, interns, and co-op’s and produce metrics reports that can be incorporated into the overall Talent Acquisition Group's monthly/quarterly metrics package.

    What’s Needed?

    To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

      Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. Minimum 2 years of university recruitment experience preferred. Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables & formulas), and PowerPoint. Strong diplomacy skills with a pleasant and friendly demeanor. Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

    What’s the Job?
    - Provide purchasing and administrative support to the Procurement and Supply Chain Management teams.  
    - Issue purchase orders and track deliveries for materials, supplies, equipment and outside services.
    - Update and track supplier quality issues.
    - Maintains a filing system in the purchase department and updating appropriate records when required.
    - Assists Accounts Payable by processing invoices for payment
