    Marine Aluminum Welder Opening in Bellingham

    Salary: $21.00- $27.00 DOE/ hour
    Schedule: Monday- Friday 6:30am- 4:30pm

    We are actively seeking multiple levels of experienced aluminum welders/fabricators with 2-3+ years of experience and High school Diploma (GED/High School Equivalence Certificate)

    Responsibilities:
    *Review boat work orders pre-fabrication
    *Lay out patterns and cut materials in preparation for fabrication
    *Weld preparation
    *Aluminum GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG welding
    *Understanding time management constraints
    *Receiving direction from welding supervisor
    *Work with safety at the forefront of importance
    *Documents and communicates information related to installations as needed
    *Trouble shoot problems and solves any issues related to installations and completion of the product
    Must have skills:
    *Minimum 2-3 years Aluminum welding experience
    *Exceptional attention to detail

    Physical Requirements:
    *Lift up to 60 lbs
    *Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks
    *Must be able to work on platforms and/or confined spaces
    *Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity

    Benefits:
    *Health Insurance - The Company pays a portion of the employee and family premium. Further details can be provided upon request, and such eligibility begins on the first month following 60-days of full-time employment with the company.
    *Vacation begins accruing immediately at 8 days per year for full-time employees, at a rate of 2.46 hours per pay period.
    oBeginning on day one of the second year of employment, you will accrue 13 days of vacation time at a rate of 4.00 hours per pay period.
    oBeginning on day one of the sixth year of employment, you will accrue 18 days of vacation time at a rate of 5.54 hours per pay period.
    oYou are eligible for vacation time immediately upon accrual.
    oWe encourage employees to use all their earned vacation each year. Employees may carry over unused vacation into the next anniversary year. However, the maximum vacation that employees may accumulate is 40 hours over their annual vacation allotment (Cap). At no point can the carry over, plus the new vacation, exceed this Cap. As a result, the amount of vacation that employees may be granted each anniversary date might be limited by the amount carried over.
    oAccrued vacation time will be paid out upon departure from the company.
    *Holidays - There are 7 paid holidays per year per the schedule provided to employees each year.
    *Sick Leave - Sick leave is to be used only when an employee is unable to attend work due to illness. Sick leave accrues at 6 days per year at a rate of 1.85 hours per bi-weekly pay period to a maximum of 80 hours in total. This benefit does not vest and is not paid out upon departure from the company.
    *401K - The Company offers a 401K option with a company match. Details can be provided upon request.

    This is a permanent hire position. There will be no temp status to begin.
