    Our Toronto client in the community housing services sector is looking to add a Property Maintenance Supervisor to their Building Services Unit.

    You will be responsible for preventative and emergency maintenance at any of the agency's owned, leased, and managed properties, including janitorial, grounds keeping and security.

    The Role:
    * Ensure high standards of response to tenant request for maintenance services across 37 locations.
    * Implement and maintain the service's work order system as a key tool for accountability and customer service.
    * Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs, or maintenance (electricians, plumbers, etc.).
    * Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and perform necessary maintenance.
    * Respond to all maintenance requests of tenants and service's staff.
    * Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, etc.).
    * Assist Manager in developing maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
    * Ensure move-in and move-out inspections are completed and logged on proper forms, and conduct/designate follow-up cleanings and repairs.
    * Monitor inventory of material and equipment and order supplies and equipment necessary for the upkeep of the building when inventory is low.
    * Obtain quotes, select qualified trades, supervise, and evaluate work performed.
    * Responsible for emergency processes and overnight/weekend response to tenant service requests.
    * Responsible for scheduling maintenance staff, keeping track of work attendance, and coordinating with payroll department.
    * Keep track of vehicles, tools, and other mechanical equipment inventory, along with their required maintenance and ensure they are in good working condition.

    You Offer:
    * Related Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma or training and significant relevant experience in Building Maintenance.
    * Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience
    * Committed to serving low-income seniors and populations with complex conditions such as mental health, addictions, and effects of recent experience with homelessness.
    * Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team building skills.
    * Strong proficiency in performance management.
    * Strong technical knowledge and practice in building systems (electrical, plumbing, heating etc.).
    * Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations (Health & Safety Awareness for Supervisors course; WHMIS - Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System course).
    * Understanding and experience with budgeting.
    * Excellent planning skills and a good level of understanding of building services blue prints.
    * Computer savvy (including MS Office Suite) and able to implement electronic work order system.
    * Valid G Driver's license with a clean driving record and access to a personal vehicle.

    TERMS

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
    * Provide general office support to department, program or functional area(s) and committees
    * Provide general office administration support, including ordering & distribution of office supplies, arranging for equipment maintenance and repair, signing out equipment
    * Maintain records & provide data management, including security
    * Provide information and respond to requests from the public and staff and appropriately direct inquiries
    * Contribute to team and agency effectiveness.

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    * Intermediate to advanced proficiency Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    * Intermediate skills in database and desktop publishing software
    * Advanced proof-reading skills
    * Able to develop and/or format materials and documents in accordance with agency standards including the selection of appropriate graphics and resources
