    QA Inspector

    We are seeking a skilled QC Inspector to measure and inspect incoming materials shipped to the facility to verify values, weight, circumference, size, etc.

    Compensation: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

    Job Location: Pinellas Park, FL

    Shift: Flexible Hours within 2nd Shift Work Hours

    Schedule: Mon-Fri

    * Read blueprints including a basic understanding of using the following in measuring steel, titanium, aluminum, copper, fiberous, etc.
    * Document the measured values on an Excel form; Must be familiar with the use of computers and Microsoft operating system
    * The actual acceptance of the material will be handled by the lead inspector in the area after the results are submitted to the incumbent in this position
    * Must have experience using the following devices: Calipers, Micrometers, Microscope, Pin gages, Drop indicators, Height gages, Optical Comparator (operating not programming), CMM (operating not programming)

    POSITION SUMMARY
    Experienced in electronic assembly and hand soldering of standard mil-spec and high stranded wire cable assemblies, connectors, wired enclosures and interconnect devices for military and or aerospace applications.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    * Wire routing, cutting, crimping, splicing, cable forming with boots and tubing
    * Mechanical assembly, Contact loading and connector assembly.
    * Wire stripping and termination (crimping and loading) with close barrel contacts and terminals (coax and tri-ax is an A+).
    * Read and understand schematics, wiring lists, assembly drawings (blue prints), engineering or detailed work instructions, material lists and Bill of Materials.
    * Experience in Molding of cable assemblies is a plus
    * Inspect and verify own work complies to the required workmanship standards
    * Speak and read in English
    * Have good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with leads, supervisors, QC inspectors and Engineers.
    * Understand and follow verbal instructions and be detailed oriented.
    * Maintain a clean, safe well organized work-station through routine housekeeping.
    * Familiarity with continuous process improvement techniques.

    POSITION SUMMARY
    Perform a variety of duties such as mixing materials, assembling mold parts, filling molds, and stacking molds to mold and cast a wide range of products.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    * Fills mold with mixed material or applies material to mold to specified thickness.
    * Molds parts or products using vibrator, hand press, or casting equipment and taps or tilts mold to ensure uniformity.
    * Operates and adjusts controls of heating equipment to melt material or to cure, dry or bake filled molds according to specifications.
    * Opens mold and removes finished products.
    * Measures ingredients and mixes molding or casting material or sealing compound, to prescribed consistency according to formula.
    * Assembles, inserts and adjusts wires, tubes, cores, fittings, rods, or patterns into mold, using hand tools and depth gauge.
    * Removes excess material and levels and smooths wet mold mixture.
    * Inspects and tests parts or products for defects and to verify accuracy and adherence to standards.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    * High School or GED Preferred
    * Previous experience working in manufacturing.
    * Molding experience preferred but not required
    * Ability to priorities and work in a team setting
    * Strong manual dexterity and arm-hand steadiness

    * Use equipment such as soldering irons (with appropriate soldering irons' tip), heat guns, hot tweezers, thermal and or automated wire strippers, solder type, pliers, screw drivers, cutters, tape measures, pull testers, rulers and calipers.
    * Experience in Molding of cable assemblies is a plus
    * Inspect and verify own work complies to the required workmanship standards
    * Speak and read in English
    * Have good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with leads, supervisors, QC inspectors and Engineers.
    * Understand and follow verbal instructions and be detailed oriented.
    * Maintain a clean, safe well organized work-station through routine housekeeping.
    * Familiarity with continuous process improvement techniques.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    * A minimum of two (2) years' recent experience in soldering and electronic assembly under a microscope for military, aerospace and or medical applications is required.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    * Perform first article, in-process and final inspection of military cable assemblies, wire harnesses, connectors and wired enclosures.
    * Perform inspection to verify compliance of product manufactured to print.
    * Ability to inspect molded parts including flex tests and hardness
    * Using automated test equipment and perform manual DWV and IR testing.
    * Working knowledge IPC-A-620 and J-STD-001.
    * Experience with soldering and crimping
    * Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, Bill of Materials, schematics/wire lists, inspection instructions, workmanship standards, process and test specifications.
    * Be able to perform inspection functions using a microscope and or magnification lights.
    * Compile special material / test data packages when required by our customers.
    * Be familiar with writing Non Conforming Material Reports.
    * Perform audits of calibrated equipment and date sensitive material for compliance.
    * Ability to use precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, dial indicators, height gages, multi-meters & pull testers (contact retention testing).

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    * High School or GED
    * A minimum of two (3) years' experience with inspecting and/or working with connectors, electric cables and harnesses.
    * Computer knowledge is recommended for Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word.
    * Ability to priorities and work in a team setting

    POSITION SUMMARY
    Perform receiving inspections of new and processed products. Experienced in electronic assembly and hand soldering of standard mil-spec and high stranded wire cable assemblies, connectors, wired enclosures and interconnect devices for military and or aerospace applications.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    * Perform mechanical receiving inspection of purchased and in-house machined and fabricated parts, castings and assemblies.
    * Assuring compliance of product received from suppliers to contractual requirements by reading and interpreting Purchase Orders note, Quality Assurance Provisions (QAPs), Blueprints, Catalog sheets and Military Specifications.
    * Ensure proper documentation is received from supplier as specified by the Purchase Order requirements (such as C of C's, Chemical and Physical Certifications, FAI's, etc.)
    * Process Date Sensitive Materials in accordance with current Company procedures.
    * Monitor and execute Test and Measuring Equipment Calibration Policy and Procedures.
    * Must have the ability to read and interpret drawings based on geometric dimension and tolerance practices per ASME Y14.5M.
    * Read and interpret, parts lists, Bill of Materials, wire schematics, manufacturing instructions, workmanship standards, process and test specifications
    * Perform First Articles per AS9102
    * Compile special material data packages when required by our customers,
    * Write Non-Conforming Material Reports and Supplier Cause / Corrective Action Reports

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    * High School or GED
    * A minimum of two (3) years' experience with inspecting and/or working with connectors, electric cables and harnesses.
    * Possess a current working knowledge and understanding of a quality system and practices that are based only on ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100C requirements
    * Knowledge of quality practices and compliance with specifications IPC-A-620 and J-STD-001 is helpful but not mandatory
    * Strong background of Mechanical inspection
    * Computer knowledge for Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, DISCUS software for AS9102 FAI Inspection.
