    SUMMARY OF DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Reporting to the Tax Manager, with operational oversight by a Senior Tax Consultant, the Analyst is primarily responsible for the preparation of Personal (T1), Trust (T3) and Terminal/Estate (T1D/T3F) returns; for a section of accounts administered by a Senior Tax Consultant.

    The position also entails assisting the Senior Tax Consultant in the relationship management of the assigned client files. Key accountabilities include:
    Preparation and filing of basic to complex personal, terminal (i.e. date of death), trust/estate for assigned clients in a timely and accurate manner.
    Handling and responding to tax correspondence for assigned clients.
    Performing other duties and special projects as assigned, including filing.
    Contact client or internal partner for missing information required for return preparation.
    Staying abreast of tax developments. Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditation:
    Accounting Designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA), preferred.
    Trust & Estate Practitioner Designation (TEP), an asset.
    Experience with CCH TaxPrep, CRA Represent a Client and MS Office.

    MUST HAVE:
    Minimum two years of relevant exp
    recent experience in a professional tax services environment (i.e. tax services company, trust company or public accounting firm) preparing inter-vivos/testamentary trust (T3), and personal (T1) income tax returns for HNW individuals and deceased taxpayers (T1D);
    Effective time management, organizational, and communication skills.

    NICE TO HAVE:
    Fluency in French, an asset.

    EDUCATION:
    Education/Certification in accounting required.
