    A terrific opportunity for local work (just 10 minutes north of Barrie) for an accounting support professional! We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to fulfill a one-year contract. The primary focus of this role will be to manage day to day processing or AP transactions (journal maintenance/entries, reconciliation of GL accounts).

    Accounts Payable Specialist: $23.92 - $28.74/hr

    Core Functions:
    * Electronic invoice processing using account coding (utilities, expenses)
    * Process and reconcile monthly Credit Card payments (daily invoice entry & coding)
    * Preparation of monthly cheque report
    * Support procurement policy/procedures, maximizing internal controls
    * Support PO policies to ensure best practices, provide training when needed
    * Work with internal departments to resolve outstanding invoices/ approvals for payment
    * Facilitate vendor payments within accounting software, respond to inquiries, resolve discrepancies
    * Prepare back up documentation for vendor accounts
    * Process EFT's & cheques, manage cancellations & stop payments
    * Departmental purchasing support, cost reduction strategies
    * Monitor supply inventory for Finance department as needed
    * Create document reporting using MS Excel, track contract holdbacks
    * Year-end audit support (gather & prepare relevant documents)
    * Support backup frontline tasks (taking & transfer calls, accepting payments)
    * Other administrative duties as need

    You offer:
    * Strong knowledge of GAAP, and minimum 2 year Diploma in an accounting or finance related program
    * 2+ years relevant experience (municipal, government or public sector experience an asset)
    * Demonstrated communication skills (oral/written), both internal & external (Management, Council, staff, public, consultants, etc)
    * Patience & tactfulness when dealing with general public, forwarding concerns if/when needed

    Skills/Knowledge & Experience you possess:
    * Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office & database software
    * High attention to details, proven analytical skills
    * Demonstrated experience in AP/AR, bookkeeping
    * Working with expense reports & financial documents
    * Cash handling & bank deposits

    Manpower is currently seeking an individual for a Talent Specialist for Michigan Works! West Central in Shelby, Michigan, located in Oceana County along the shores of Lake Michigan. Manpower offers several types of virtual interviews including connecting by phone, Microsoft Teams, and Facebook Chat or Video. We also do in-person office visits by appointment.

    What is the job?
    * Responsible for case management, updating case files, data entry, data search and data management using multiple data base software platforms to support and monitor and record participant's progress to ensure that training and employment goals and objectives are met.
    * Assist job seekers with resumes, cover letters and completing online applications. In addition, you will aid participants through interviews, assessments, referrals, and support services.
    * Work closely with clients in a variety of programs.
    * Understand and demonstrate a proficient use of our website including troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer assistance and hiring assistance.
    * Provide crisis intervention counseling and referrals addressing barriers to job search and employment such as childcare, transportation, housing, clothing, domestic violence, etc.
    * Annual salary range $36,635

    What you bring to the job?
    * Case management experience desired.
    * General office experience including answering phones, assisting customers is required.
    * Associate degree or equivalent minimum.
