    Currently seeing a Housing Specialist for our clients call center in Gaithersburg MD.
    In this role you will be determining eligibility and continued participation for families. Duties include interviewing clients, certifying, recertifying annuals and interims, processing rent increases requests, negotiating rent amounts with landlords. Completing data entry, advising participants and landlords of program rules and regulations. Provide customer service to internal and external customers. Conducting Marketing activities/programs. Monitor clients for program compliance. Submit referrals as needed. Incumbent must have transportation as this position may work from various office locations.
    Preferred Skills:

    Requires a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Public Administration, Government or related field
    Experience of processing the full-cycle of recertifications.
    Strong communication skills and good customer service are required
    Knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of, subsidized housing program guidelines and federal, state and local landlord-tenant laws is necessary
    Must obtain program certification within six (6) months of hire
    Experience in the Voucher programs, Tax Credit or other subsidized program is a plus
    Must have great verbal and written communication skills
    Must be proficient with Microsoft Office

    Property Manager

    Job Description:
    The property manager is responsible for providing property management to ensure a safe, clean and sanitary environment for residential and commercial properties.
    * Responsible for but not limited to coordinating of all tenant related activities and record keeping necessary to maintain the financial viability of the property
    * Recruiting, interviewing, transferring, promoting, conducting performance evaluations, disciplining and terminating
    * Position is required to prepare a draft budget and the coordination of rent collection activities
    * Review and process information to determine what it means, how it fits together and respond to it
    * Provide counseling to tenants in areas such as parenting, money management, substance abuse/mental health support, problem solving, conflict resolution etc.
    * Conducts apartment safety and cleanliness checks related to resident occupancy.
    * Completes property inspections to ensure asset is maintained
    * Provides ongoing crisis management and mediation

    What you bring to the table:
    * 3+ years experience in housing management specifically affordable housing
    * Experience or familiarity with local, state and federal services programs
    * Strong written and verbal communication skills which demonstrate the ability to interpret, clarify and advise concerning program objectives, tasks and programs
    * Experience using Yardi (+ but not required)
    * High School Diploma
    * Experience with Microsoft office Suite
    * Must have Tax Credit and Section 8 Certification
