Job Description

Are you looking for a new opportunity as a Production Supervisor near the Kalamazoo area? We are now hiring for a Production Supervisor! This role will be in a clean manufacturing environment and provides great opportunity for overtime! This role will be on a 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm)



ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES



Leads employees who are engaged in the production of pharmaceutical or biotechnology products in compliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP) guidelines, and federal, state, and local regulations.



Responsible for effective leadership of a work team which includes:





* Ensuring compliance with all regulations and guidelines including safety, quality and environmental.

* Managing the daily operation to meet production schedule.

* Leading the implementation of Lean/6-sigma/5S/IMEx (Integrated Manufacturing Excellence) initiatives.

* Working with technical support staff to trouble shoot production issues and identify and implement process improvements.

* Guiding and directing team members to ensure a cohesive, positive and inclusive team environment.

* Supporting team member development through coaching and mentoring.

* Providing timely performance feedback and recognition for all team members.

* Counseling team members and administrating discipline as required.

* Identifying staffing needs and working with human resource teams to recruit, interview and onboard new team members.

* Daily attendance monitoring.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS





* 3-years' experience in production operations and/or people leadership roles with a Bachelor's degree.

* 5-years' experience in production operations and/or people leadership roles with an Associate's degree or significant active progress towards a Bachelor's degree.

* 6-years with experience in production operations and/or people leadership roles.

* The successful Supervisor candidate must demonstrate initiative, judgment and accountability in day-to-day work activities in addition to strong planning/organizational skills

* The candidate must also possess strong communication skills and demonstrate integrity

* Position will work 7 days, off for 2 days, works 7 days, off for 2 days, works 7 days and off for a 3-day weekend.
