Job Description
As one of four individuals working in the International Accounting group, this position will manage and coordinate all aspects of the international accounting functions and financial reporting duties including, day-to-day issues, month-end closing, reconciliations, reporting, treasury management and VAT fillings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Oversee general accounting for the international subsidiaries
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of month-end journal entries
* Develop, update, and post monthly recurring journal entries
* Prepare G/L account reconciliations including intercompany reconciliations between Corporate and subsidiary offices
* Reconcile sub-ledgers (A/P, A/R, Inventory, Cash, and Fixed Assets) to the general ledger
* Monitor and analyze monthly operating results
* Prepare monthly management reporting for the International Division and individual subsidiaries
* Assist in annual audit and tax of the subsidiaries including interfacing with the local accounting firms
* Prepare and file VAT returns for the subsidiaries and/or interface with local accounting firms for completion thereof
* Identify financial accounting opportunities and alternatives to meet company objectives and improve efficiency
* Work with the corporate team and individual subsidiaries to assist in the integration of the subsidiaries to the new Microsoft D365 ERP system
* Assist in ensuring proper internal controls
* Oversee International Treasury Management (JP Morgan)
* Other projects and duties as assigned for both Corporate and international operations
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting with four to six years of related experience and CPA certification required
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional and efficient manner
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with Microsoft D365 or similar ERP system preferred
* Experience with sales query or similar analytics software preferred
