Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Utilizes a variety of hand / power tools to perform advanced assembly of complex assemblies in accordance

with quality / quantity standards; trains employees in basic & complex assembly operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Reviews shop operations packets, bill-of-material, and engineering drawing.

 Ensures incoming material is correct quantity/quality/part number.

 Selects parts, tools, and equipment required for quality assembly of complex components &

systems.

 Follows Specification of inspections as noted. Dimensionally checks and tests production to insure

assembled output meets requirements.

 Utilizes properly calibrated precision measuring instruments and electrical circuit testers when

performing inspections.

 Packages completed components for shipment to customer, including: constructing skids; selecting

packaging material; shrink wrapping components/skids; banding containers, printing shipping labels,

etc.

 Performs operator maintenance & operational checks on all departmental tools & equipment.

 Segregates and periodically disposes of scrap/recycled material into approved collection containers.

 In performing assigned duties, frequently lifts/moves up to and including 75 lbs.

 Standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing are all required

motions of the job.

 Operates material handling equipment when moving materials into, around, or out of the department.

 Receives daily direction and support from the Team Leader/Supervisor.

 Performs all work in accordance with acceptable quality standards.

 Performs all work in a safe manner, to include proper use of personal protective equipment.

 Maintains an accurate record of all work performed in the appropriate company format/form.

 Maintains work area, tools and equipment in a neat, clean and orderly manner.

 Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

 High School graduate or equivalent.

 Ability to read and write, in order to comply with written instructions and complete job-related

paperwork.

 1 - 2 years of previous experience performing complex assembly operations preferred
