Job Description
Our client, a commercial construction contractor in Pomona is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to join their team. As a Construction Safety Manager, you will be part of the management team, supporting safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years prior experience in Construction Safety, ability to problem solve, work under pressure and travel 75%-80% of the time which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Location: Pomona, CA (with 75-80% travel)
Pay Range: $75K - $85K D.O.E. + up to 5% quarterly bonus
What’s the Job?
- Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance identify corrective action and implement follow up assessments.
- Plans implements and conducts preventative care, safety and compliance training programs, maintains environmental safety & health programs on-premises and at project sites.
- Collaborates w/Management to develop an emergency action plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification.
- Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence and attends one safety training meeting per quarter.
What’s Needed?
- 3+ years prior construction safety experience
- Ability to assess and manage risk - ability to travel 75% of the time
- Multi-project experience (3-4 simultaneously)
- Leadership abilities, flexible "can-do" attitude, organizational skills
- Outstanding communication, teamwork and safety knowledge/skill
