Job Description

Manpower Engineering is partnering with a highly regarded biotechnology company whose cutting-edge research is positioning them to be a key-leader in the field of extracellular vesicle science. With their proprietary exosome platform, they will be able to influence numerous fields of medicine, addressing a range of complex, untreated medical conditions.



The company is currently hiring for a Director, Program Management who will report to the CTO, leading drug development program teams spanning preclinical development through commercialization, overseeing partners, and directly managing future PM hires.



This is a distinguished role where you will have the opportunity to develop and lead a program effort directly impacting major biomedical advances.



Responsibilities:



* Partnering with scientific/technical, clinical, and regulatory leadership to define program strategy.

* Leading cross-functional program teams such as CMC meetings and setting the target product profiles and aligned integrated global development plans.

* Managing program teams to deliver against set strategies and operational plans and ensuring continual alignment between technical plans, commercial objectives, and overall corporate goals.

* Manage resources and timelines to achieve overall goals of the company

* Driving through critical decisions within the team and strategic and operational adjustments as necessary throughout development.

* Communicating program status to leadership through routine program reviews

* Owning and driving cross-functional team performance to deliver agreed corporate goals for the assigned project(s).

* Driving issue identification and resolution, risk management and contingency planning.

* Creating a positive team environment that instills trust and encourages dissemination of accurate information and ensures clear and transparent communications to align around the objectives and goals for the project.

* Advancing functional and organizational excellence through creative thinking and consistent willingness to achieve stretch goals



Qualifications:



* Bachelor of Science degree in life sciences, engineering, or relevant to medicine, human disease, or pharmaceutical development.

* Relevant advanced degree or PMP certifications are a plus

* Minimum of 10 years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience

* Minimum of 5 years relevant Project Management experience

* Sound knowledge of all aspects of the drug development process, with early phase drug product development experience preferred

* Experience leading biologic drug development teams (biologics experience a plus)

* Excellent communication, writing and relationship-building skills, with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

* Excellent ability to embrace ambiguity and complexity and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight; ability to translate complex concepts into actionable, measurable tasks

* Experience in developing and implementing a scientific strategy and putting in place activities that drive results

* Strong knowledge of team dynamics, structure, roles, and responsibilities

* Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and key project decisions without authority

* Proficient at approaching issues with professionalism, confidence and decisiveness, engaging in active problem-solving, and driving issues to resolution

* Skilled facilitator and negotiator with a keen eye for detail
