Job Description

A client of ours is seeking a DIRECT HIRE Electrical Engineer to add to their team!

Job Description:

* Contribute to advancing the performance and reliability of electrical components and electrical systems through design, research, test, and production

* Effectively interact with customers, coworkers, and contractors through verbal and written communication and occasional technical presentation

* Become a product technical lead to champion and represent specific product challenges

* Cooperate with different industry agencies for certification

* Read and maintain engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and schematics

* Aid product team in writing product user manuals and installation guides

* Work within the supply chain with contract manufacturers, suppliers for product sustainment and manufacturing improvements

* Perform failure analysis on existing products to determine root cause of field returns

* Collaborate with manufacturing to develop and improve inspection and test strategy through product growth cycle

* Provide periodic work status updates to management and team

* Assist in firmware development for product fault code strategy and use case

* Identify project related intellectual property and provide technical support to patent analysis

* Technical support to field service via remote troubleshooting or diagnostic guidance

* Commit to a safety dedicated environment and aim constantly improve our safety culture

* Travel < 10% on occasion to suppliers, customers, or other technical partners

* Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

* 4 year degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

* Knowledgeable with fundamental design practices, discipline, and test methods

* Proficient with measurement equipment and analysis - o-scope, power supply, LCR, MM

* Proven ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively

* Proficient in MS Office software - Outlook, Word, Excel

Additional Desired Capabilities:

* 3 of experience in electrical engineering, design, or manufacturing

* Working knowledge of the NEC, UL, NFPA, FCC and other industry agency groups

* Familiarity in Altium, LTspice, LabView or similar software

* Experience in CAN bus, RF systems, and/or statistical analysis all a plus

* Knowledgeable in electrical connections, terminations, and other junction hardware

* Experience in home wiring and/or smart home automation a plus

* Maintain a valid drivers license
