Manpower Professional is excited to announce that we are recruiting an Executive Director for a premier Non-Profit organization in the Mountain State! This is a direct hire opportunity through Manpower.

Ideal candidates have prior experience working with non-profits, large events/planning and/or volunteer management. Candidates must be able to oversee a large budget, think outside the box and be able to be collaborative with several community stakeholders. Candidates must have exceptional communication skills and organizational skills.

Position Summary: The Executive Director is responsible for organizing and implementing all fundraising activities throughout the calendar year. The ability to enrich current relationships and cultivate new ones is key. Day-to-day activities include bookkeeping and database management; organizing and documenting meetings; managing capital, campaigns and events; communicating with the media, general public and donors.

Major Responsibilities:

Program Planning/Implementation

Coordinate and manage events and activities

Help manage (recruit, train, support) volunteers and their contributions

Complete and review Grant applications

Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) Statements

Update, maintain and submit reports as required by state, federal, and granting agencies

Be a public figure and lead large/integrated public events

Job Requirements:

Strong communicator - public speaking engagements and written communication to stakeholder will be expected of the role

Microsoft Office (or equivalent) and Google products proficiency

Knowledge and effective use of Social Media platforms

Non-Profit knowledge

Safe driving record, valid driver's license, and access to a personal vehicle

Ability to multi-task and jump between projects, on time and under budget

Ability to maintain the accounting books and reconcile them monthly with software

Meticulous record keeping

Ability to negotiate and manage professional relationships and to maintain confidentiality

Vendor contract review and negotiation


Bachelor's degree

Experience organizing and coordinating large scale events (3,000+) as well as smaller events

Experience working with volunteers

Experience and skills in program development, profit and loss management, and evaluation

Experience in non-profit organizations

Experience in project management and/or event planning

Candidates must have strong references


Standard business hours, Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

Weekend and evening work are seasonally required
