Job Description
General Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of the
maintenance department functions and programs. Directs and coordinates support services. Training
and development of its employees.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; some creativity and latitude is
expected; works under the supervision of a manager.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
· Assists in interviews and hiring processes.
· Orientates and trains maintenance personnel.
· Coaches, counsels’ employees, and initiates discipline as required.
· Evaluates performance of subordinates
· Develops and implements preventative and other maintenance programs to ensure proper
equipment operation.
· Identifies, researches, and resolves problems.
· Coordinates maintenance activities with operating department's requirements
· Leads employees in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
· Performs regular/preventative maintenance on all machinery, tools, and buildings.
· Develops, implements, and supervises the plant’s Preventive Maintenance program.
· Repairs machinery, equipment, buildings, and other Company assets in accordance with diagrams,
operating manuals, manufacturing specifications, or by management request
· Orders supplies and parts as required, at competitive pricing and rates.
· Maintains records of repair/maintenance activities, per Company policy
· Prepares other reports as required.
· Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and pro
