Manpower is hiring for a Manufacturing Line Mechanic who performs setup and line changeover of cosmetics manufacturing equipment.
In this role you will be responsible for equipment maintenance, repair, and working with the machine shop to recommend and perform equipment upgrades & improvements. They are expected to identify & recommend improvements in machine productivity & efficiency to management and participate in implementing those improvements.

* Pay Rate: $25/hr. - $30/hr. based on experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Please note that the following description is not meant to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities and metrics but to highlight some key ones).
1 Set-up, adjust, and line changeover of manufacturing equipment to include: tube and bottle fillers, cappers, labeling equipment, Videojet coders, cartoners, and bundle wrappers.
2 Troubleshoot and adjust powder pressing and handling equipment.
3 Diagnose malfunctions, repair and replace defective parts with the assistance of equipment manuals.
4 Analyze mechanical and operational problems and take corrective action.
5 Perform preventive & reactive maintenance and respond to equipment failures.
6 Monitor lines for malfunctions, recurring problems or unsafe conditions. Make adjustments to maintain quality production.
7 Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, mechanical & electrical schematics, and service manuals.
8 Ensure production goals, up-time standards, and deadlines are met.
9 Assist in identifying opportunities to improve machine processes and participate in implementing these improvements.
10 Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
11 Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary and safe work area.
12 Work with Q.A. and validation groups to attain operational requirements.
13 Assures all personnel comply with all Department and Company safety, conduct, and operating policies, guidelines, and rules. Report any unsafe practice or condition.
14 Any other tasks that may be assigned by Supervisor to meet company goals.
