Job Description

11pm--7:30am 3rd shift Sun--Thurs



MACHINE OPERATORS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for SQF/food packaging safety and product quality, and reports product safety and product quality problems to Supervisor or Management. Ensure SQF/food packaging safety compliance

* Operate machine to ensure quality and conformity of package material.

* Package product in proper containers.

* Inspect and remove defective product from production line.

* Stop machine when malfunction occur and report immediate to mechanics or supervisor.

* Perform prescribed quality inspections per quality procedures.

* Stamp finished good product with packer ID number.

* Pack sleeved product into corrugated case, seal (tape) and stack on a pallet.

* Perform housekeeping duties to ensure department and company standards are maintained.

* Performs other related duties to contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by lead person and supervisor.



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or G.E.D. required.

* Minimal 8 hr shift schedule with some overtime.

* Occasional overhead lifting required (20 to 40 lbs up to 20 times a hour).

* Frequently lifting, pushing, and/or pulling 20 to 40 lbs. (Up to 20 times a hour).

* Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling & reaching (Up to 20 times a hour).

* Constant noise levels above 85db.

* Constant dry/dusty (paper) environment.

* Constant work around machinery and forklifts.

* Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear is required.

* May experience temperature extremes based on outside temperature.
