Job Description
Our client, a food industry leader, is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their team. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be part of the maintenance team supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working a continental shift, working independently and strong PLC knowledge which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Location: Etobicoke, Ontario
Pay Range: $33.50-43.50/hour Plus PLC incentive $5
What’s the Job?
PLC and HMI programming changes and troubleshooting
Repair, troubleshoot and installation of machinery including electrical and electronic equipment, control systems and automation
Electrical wiring and testing of automated systems
Optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules
Previous Food industry experience preferred
Service, clean and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production and bakery equipment
Continually improve equipment function via design improvements
What’s Needed?
2-5 years' industrial, electrical and mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry
General knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and ability to assist all trades people as required
Problem solving skills and good communication skills are required
Ability to work a flexible shift day/afternoon/night, Sunday to Saturday.
Willing to obtain - Industrial Electrician License (442A) or 309A
Refrigeration Operator experience an asset
