Job Description

Maintenance Planner

Hagerstown, MD

$56,000-68,000 annually

*This is a permanent, direct hire position with full benefits.



Will co-ordinate, plan, schedule and supervise maintenance tasks and work orders. Will also ensure all parts are available to perform the jobs, maintain ongoing library of drawings, sketches, pictures, catalogues of parts. Will review jobs to determine labor, parts and priority as well to ensure safety is a priority at all times.



As a Maintenance Planner you will:

* Reviewing work requests for accuracy and clarity and approves them as needed

* Supports and Drives the 7-C's Inventory approach with 1) Consolidation, 2) Cross Referencing to OEM parts. 3) Consignment, 4) Committed with local Suppliers 5) Committed with Manufacturer, 6) Co-Sharing Regional Spares 7) Critical Spare Fabrication

* Follows up with Top 12 Wear Parts Reports failure/ purchasing trends and Warranties claims to follow up on with vendors.

* Communicates critical obsolescence of spare parts in Maximo and with plant personnel as well as to the other plants in the corporation that may share the same spare parts.

* Maintain and tracking targets for the Corporate Reliability Behavioral KPI's, following up with Corrective Actions for misses.

* Escalating issues to Reliability Engineer, for work that does not appear to be valid or well justified



The Ideal Candidate has:

* Minimum 5 years of planning/scheduling experience with Maximo

* Mechanical/Electrical background is required

* Post-secondary degree/diploma

* Adequate craft knowledge and skill to accurately estimate labor hours, material requirement and skills needed to complete a job. Must have a demonstrated ability to visualize and communicate the execution of work

* Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills

* Demonstrated leadership skills

* Knowledge and understanding of the maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system, planning and scheduling and storeroom processes

* Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion
