Job Description

Manufacturing Manager - Clackamas County, OR - Direct hire - Day Shift - Some relocation assistance is offered

* Work schedule: Mon. - Fri. / 7 am - 4 pm (day shift) 40-50/hrs. week

* Target Salary: $89,000 - $100,000 (without an engineering degree)

* Target Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 (with an engineering degree)

* Need to have a personality that can deal well with the stress of a company that is rapidly growing, expanding production capabilities, and growing the overall manufacturing space

* Overseeing approximately 40 people

Required Advanced Experience:

* Managing the assembly side of the manufacturing process (small parts assembly)

* Lean & Continuous Improvement (must have Lean experience within small parts assembly)

* Understanding workflow process within a new manufacturing assembly facility

* Increasing manufacturing scope & flow (example: Increasing production from 2000 units up to 4000 units per day

* Conceptualizing and implementing new manufacturing, production, and workflow models

* Be able to give an example of… "a time you helped build team morale"

* Needs to have a well-balanced temperament (able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and still communicate information respectfully to the team)

* Be involved in the interviewing process of new hires

* Conduct performance reviews

* Strong knowledge of machine shop and mechanical assembly equipment and processes

* Manage, motivate, and be an inspirational leader in a team-based manufacturing environment

* Handling employee relations issues and shaping the desired culture as well as laws associated with workforce safety

* Manufacturing processes and controls, including advanced knowledge of integrated (MRP) systems as well as demand flow

* Lean principles, TPS, TQM initiatives, OEE, and exposure to ISO requirements

* Cost accounting and other financial measurements used in manufacturing

* Analytical and capable of preparing reports, forecasts, and budgets

* Etc…

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or other related degrees

* 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a first and second-level supervision role is required
