Job Description

Mechanical Assemblers Located Buffalo Grove 1st shift The site has staggered work times ranging starting from 6am to 6:45am. The shift is 8 hours with a half hour lunch and two 15 minute breaks. $16/hr. Temp to Hire opportunity.



What your day will look like:

Assemble multiple styles of driver barrier doors.

Installing all parts from beginning to final assembly

Will be responsible for inspecting and testing product functions correctly

Use hand-held and automated tools

Ability to lift 10-35 lbs.

PREVIOUS MEDICAL DEVICE ASSEMBLY A PLUS!!

MUST BE ABLE TO READ BLUEPRINTS AND SCHEMATICS



Everyone on site will be required to wear a face shield with glasses and a KN95 masks which will be provided by the company.

The site will also require covid safety forms to be completed which will ask candidates about their travel and social habits to help reduce exposure.

Use computer to pull up latest drawing of V-Shield to be assembled.



Use drawing and Bill of Material to properly assemble sub-assemblies and final assembly Panels.



Using pneumatic tools, hand tools, electric tools and torque tools to attach and properly secure a wide variety of components and subassemblies to a Panel. Constant use of the hands and excellent dexterity required.



Adjust components as needed and certify quality of assembly or sub-assembly.



Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.



Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.



Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.



Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.



Ability to follow instructions and management directive.



Ensure a safe working environment, good housekeeping and 5's for your respective area and all of VBI



Education/Experience:



High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical studies preferred; and one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Work Environment:



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and work near moving mechanical parts.



The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
