What is the job?
* Assess, dismantle, modify, repair/rebuild equipment and put back into service in a timely manner.
* Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines.
* Set up and operate machines and machine tools such as surface grinders, lathes, drill presses,
milling machines, hydraulic tool, etc.
* Design, modify, upgrading, fabricating and welding plant equipment and new processes throughout
the plant.
* Emergency start ups & shut down of specific pieces of equipment throughout the facility.
* Ability to assess, dismantle, modify, repair/rebuild equipment and put back into service in a timely
manner.
* Interact between maintenance/ production/ tool room/heat treat/engineering/quality.
* Work with supervisor/planner to direct/prioritize maintenance personnel activities.
* Ability to assist, establish and perform preventative and predictive maintenance throughout the
plant including oil analysis, thermal imaging, waste management.
* Emergency response to lack of water, gas, hydro or failure of fire protection systems, security
systems. Restart of same equipment.
* Operate forklifts and other material handling and rigging equipment.
* Co-operate, guide and assist contractors in the completion of projects.
* Update maintenance inventory and work orders in SAP.
* Maintain and set up gas, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, chemical and other plant utilities.
* Maintain and order mechanical/electrical equipment and establish parts inventories for all
equipment.
* Develop a quick response to troubleshoot breakdowns or other electrical and mechanical
deficiencies.
* Assist Maintenance Planner in establishing procedures, instructions, JSA's, SOP's, planning &
executing preventative/predictive maintenance throughout the plant.
* Ability to use specialized testing devices.
* Work from and/or design electrical/mechanical drawings, sketches, blue prints.
* Maintain workplace organization - 5S. Participate in other departmental continuous improvement
initiatives.

What is required from you?
* Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) - Industrial Millwright.
* 3+ years of certified industrial millwright maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to troubleshoot problems, manage multiple deadlines and recognize priorities.
* Experience in metals manufacturing preferred with proven press operational trouble shooting and
preventative maintenance.
* Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
* Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility for one's own actions and behaviors.
* Commitment to work through continuous improvement.
* Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills in a team-based atmosphere.
