Job Description

Manpower is currently hiring for a Procurement Manager with one of Canada's top banks.



Contract Length: 12 Months

Pay: $36/hour

Location: REMOTE



Job Description

- Sound understanding of sourcing process and execution methodologies

- Supports the authoring of contract documents such as, but not limited to, MSA, SOW, NDA, amendments, etc

- Liaising with suppliers and business clients at various levels ensuring service delivery is met

- Familiarity with Supplier negotiations to mitigate risk such as in the IT software space including pricing, services, data privacy, open source, IP ownership, infringement, and SLAs

- Proactively identify opportunities/initiatives for savings, cost avoidance and risk mitigation

- Acts as a procurement subject matter expert and can provide direction on best practices to the respective business group

- Fully understands and manages risk related activities including leading Supplier negotiations to mitigate risk to RBC

- Liaising with suppliers and business clients at various levels ensuring service needs and commitments are met

- Collaborates and communicates with senior leaders across the respective business group

- Conducts cost/benefit analysis and identifies alternatives

- Manages conflict and resolves issues using appropriate escalation

- Evaluates, formulates and implements approaches to improve business client/supplier relationships and engagement

Knowledge & Experience:

Must-have

- 3 to 6 years experience with planning, organizing, financial budgeting and decision input in a Procurement context with increasing scope of responsibility

- University degree in logistics, business administration or purchasing or supply chain management

- Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable Procurement related achievement

- Sound ability to draft, interpret, negotiate contractual agreements is mandatory (e.g. MSA, SOW,NDA, amendments, etc)

- Software procurement experience and understanding of software contractual clauses is essential

- IT Professional Services procurement experience and understanding is desirable

- Experience in a financial institution is ideal (i.e. Capital Markets)

- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

- Learning agility and ability to thrive in a dynamic business environment

- Familiarity with using Procurement CLM, VMS systems (e.g. iValua, Beeline, or similar, etc)



Thorough knowledge of traded products including derivatives and their associated risks
