Job Description

Bagging / Pouching and Production Supervisor


The primary responsibilities of the Bagging / Production Supervisor revolve around placing products safely and efficiently into appropriate packages. You are required to keep up with production output and must maintain a smooth production line. Your manufacturing duties include handling equipment, working with other packers, observing proper food safety and quality, and upholding environmental protection policies. As a bagging / production supervisor, you must be aware of the production schedule and proper equipment cleaning procedures.

1.Ensure production line is ATP swabbed and released by QA and ready for production run before production crew arrives.

2.Ensure machines start up and shut down procedures are performed properly.

3.Ensure pre-op and post ops are performed properly for the line.

4.Ensure pouch sealing , pouch labelling , pouch weight , pouch packing , case labelling , pallet confirgurations etc are done according to approved specifications.

5.Operate equipment to optimum efficiencies to meet quality, cost and operational requirements of daily schedules.

6.Prepare production batch record paperwork for each product and make sure real time data is accurately documented throughout the shift.

7.Ensure input and output of raw materials, supplies and any other production related item is accurately documented.

8.Test and ensure the functionality of our CCP (Metal Detector) and proper documentation practices are being followed.

9.Preplan next day's production plan with the Production Manager.

10.Managing different stages of the production line by being actively involved in each production step including handling equipment starting and stopping activities during each designated shift and ensuring appropriate safety measures are considered at every step of the process.

11.Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure any equipment or tool malfunction or breakdown is immediately reported.

●Ability to build and maintain effective and respectful working relationships with diverse teams

●Correctness and attention to detail

●Experience with MS Office

●High School Diploma or GED Required


The Production Supervisor will work in a food processing environment. The employee will be required to sit, stand, crouch and bend for long periods of time. The employee will be required to lift objects weighing generally no more than 50 pounds. This position will require some work to be completed during weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary and is subject to callouts including response to emergency situations. The work environment is a Wet/Dry/Cold/Hot production environment with loud noises.
