Job Description

We are seeking a Production Team Lead to join our team! You will oversee the activities of a team of production workers. Full time, long term job with a busy manufacturing company that will offer a potential permanent opportunity.

What is the Job?



Oversee all of the production workers within the department



* Implement the production schedule

* Create and close process orders and perform inventory adjustments in SAP

* Responsible for keeping supplies in stock

* Ensure employees are working and following safety procedures

* Meet operational goals and objectives; meet product cost targets, meet product quality objectives, meet safety goals and objectives

* Review schedule for maximum efficiency

* Identify processes that will reduce costs, reduce scrap and rework

* Ability to effectively handle minor employee relation issues

* Be an active participant in meeting the objectives of the plant

* Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line

* Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks

* Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product

* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties

* Collect required samples needed for Quality Control testing

* Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced

* Knowledge with labeler operations

* Perform line changeovers in a safe and efficient manner

* Maintain communication with other departments.

* Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOPs

* Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes



What do you bring to the job?



* Associates Degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED required; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Background in a manufacturing high speed environment

* Lean manufacturing & ISO experience strongly preferred

* Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously

* Proven ability to lead, motivate and provide direction in a positive manner

* Proven ability to identify and prioritize areas of opportunity and take appropriate action

* Advanced learning certificates a plus

* Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

* Experience within a cGMP environment preferred.

* Must be able to stand, walk, push or pull for virtually the entire shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

* Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.

* Be able to effectively work in a team environment.

* Effective verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
