Job Description

We are hiring a Project HSE Engineer for our client in saint Felicien,Quebec, who is a global market leader in drilling services, as well as in the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of pipelines and complex projects, onshore and offshore in the oil & gas market.



Your mission:

The Project HSE Engineer will provide necessary support to ensure the correct development, management, and improvement of the Project HSE Management System throughout all the phases of the project/activities, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up.

Tasks and responsibilities

* Provide necessary support to ensure that all design, construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up activities carried out by the company are conducted in strict accordance with the Client HSE Requirements, the company HSE Standards, applicable HSE local legislation, International Standards (ISO14001 and ISO45001)

* Take part in accident / incident investigation.

* Participate in HSE Risk Management and Occupational Safety Risk Assessment

* Provide necessary support to ensure that Project HSE plans, and procedures are developed and implemented throughout the entire project life.

* Participate in pre-construction survey, identify safety criticalities and environmental sensitive areas and design mitigation measures

* Assist the Project engineering and management teams in the Risk Management process (i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, Hazard and Effect Management Process, Risk Assessment)

* Knowledge and ability to follow HSE contractual aspects related to subcontracted activities, as well Knowledge of sub-contract management.

* Keep constant communication and HSE reporting with the company Corporate HSE Department



Qualifications:

* Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation is a must

* Member of OIQ or recognized professional engineer organization

* Successful completion of COR Programs course

* A minimum of 5 years of experience in the development, implementation, and audit of an HSE Management System

* Knowledge of local HSE legislation and main important international standards on HSE management system (e.g. ISO 14001 ISO 45001)

* Fluent in both French and English languages is a must
