Quality and Compliance Engineer
Location: Chatsworth, CA
Pay Rate: $75K-$86K Yearly

What you'll be doing:
* Interact with Development Group, Manufacturing Department, and Project Teams to prevent compliance issues, research and identify applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards and codes, develop compliance policies.
* Determine compliance by establishing compliance test standards; conduct and witness tests; perform diagnostic procedures; measure performance; analyze and evaluate findings; perform forensic analysis of failures; supervise sub-contractors.
* Document compliance by completing approval applications
* Develop, revise, enhance and maintain Quality Management supporting procedures and documentation.
* Monitor manufacturing and customer support Quality metrics to generate Quality Engineering reports and present them to functional and upper management.
* Monitor for complaints and defects in supply-chain or production, prioritize them, do root-cause analysis, alter tests and procedures as required, take corrective action, and bring them to closure.
* Engage with regulatory bodies and Quality specialists to keep abreast of the industry trends and developments.
* Establish effective interaction with wide spectrum of team members, stakeholders, and suppliers to discuss potential nonconformance risks and provide proactive corrective action.
* Take leadership role in preparing, assisting, facilitating, and coaching other departments to keep all Quality related metrics, scorecards and documentation updated and ready for review.
Who were looking for:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field is a must. Graduate degree is a plus.
* 5-8 years related experience.
* Knowledge of EMC and Safety regulatory requirements.
* Knowledge of NEBS regulatory requirements, such as GR-63 and GR-1089.
* Experienced in Quality inspection monitoring and measurement techniques for complex electronic assemblies and components.
* In depth understanding of TL 9000 and ISO 9000 compliance procedures and requirements.
* Understanding of advanced inspection methods, acceptance criterion, manufacturing assembly and test techniques.
* Maintaining a sense of urgency for audit readiness. Avoid scramble as the date approaches.
* Comfortable conducting company-wide pre-audits and act as a lead company representative during audits for Quality certifications.
