Job Description

Our growing Burlington client who is a leader in the Automotive industry is looking for a Quality Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-4 years related experience and will be responsible for the following:

Resolves all quality concerns with the customer and suppliers. Reviews all new tooling dimensional reports from the manufacturer to ensure acceptable quality prior to product distribution.

Plan, implement and maintain the Quality System in accordance with the IATF 16949 specification.

Revise the Quality Manual, Procedures, Work Instructions and forms to reflect the changing nature of the business.

Familiar with all Customer quality requirements

Resolve all matters pertaining to Quality with customers and suppliers.

Completes monthly Key Characteristics on rejects, rework, scrap levels etc.

Manages all internal system Quality audits.

Reviews the results of all internal / external audits to ensure that non-conformances are addressed & improvements are implemented.

Compare all corporate monthly quality reports.

Manage GP-12 activities, including personnel, to ensure no short shipments and on time delivery.

Daily review of shortage list. Ensure GP-12 and hold parts are sorted prior to the customers required delivery time.

Monitor GP-12 results and document required corrective actions.

Maintain and update weekly GP-12 plan.

Manages all APQP activities pertaining to new production launches.

Reviews and approves monthly supplier performance reports.

Ensures all PPAP documentation is accurately completed prior to submission to the customer.

Reviews & approves all supplier PPAP'S.

Ensures all corrective actions pertaining to customer issues are completed and submitted in a timely manner.

Ensures that proper documentation, traceability and records are maintained for all production parts.

Maintains current on state-of-the-art measuring equipment & ensures calibrations are kept up to date.

Supervisors/Managers are accountable for ensuring that healthy and safe work conditions are maintained at all times in the area of their control.

Conduct performance appraisals on worker's ability to perform their job tasks and safety performance.

We are looking for proven leadership skills for this role with strong communication and organizational skills. You must have strong Word and Excel and Powerpoint skills as well.
