Job Description

This is a direct hire placement



Summary:



This associate will utilize extensive experience with the most complex converting machines in this Value Stream. The position requires the Associate to set up, run, troubleshoot and interpret and follow work instructions. They will train others and have a complete understanding of the operation and safety requirements for all converting presses and other equipment within the Value Stream. This position is expected to have full knowledge of product quality, processes and procedures. Associate must be able to meet production schedules and strive to achieve or improve cost estimates. Working with the Engineering Department, they will develop best practices that achieve new products and improve existing jobs.

Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to:



To set up, run and do troubleshooting of product based on established job rates. Post rates achieved hourly on run boards.

Communicate rate deficiencies to management and engineering per prescribed procedures.

Train others on equipment including all safety requirements and be listed as trainer on that individuals training matrix.

Perform quality inspections per Quality Department procedures and Engineering work instructions and document results.

Responsible for accurate documentation of inspection, equipment maintenance, the Training Matrix and work instruction changes.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per Engineering procedures and ensure charts or logs are up to date.

Positively contribute to company's safety, quality and production goals.

Responsible for accurate entries in the computer time clock system.

Responsible for accurately describing to customers and guests the equipment and processes used within the assigned Value Stream.

Responsible for reporting to Management any unsafe working conditions.

Understand and instruct others in accurate print reading and interpretation.



Training/Education/Experience



High School education or equivalent.

Post High School education preferred in related field.

At least 5 years of previous medical manufacturing experience preferred.

Rotary Press Exp 7+ years required.

Problem solve complex press issues.

Able to interpret and understand prints.

Formal training or experience with Lean manufacturing principles.

Proficient PC skills, Microsoft.
