Job Description


Supplier Quality Engineer


* Draft quality assurance policies and procedures

* Interpret and implement quality assurance standards

* Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards

* Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data

* Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems

* Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to

* ensure finished product quality

* Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities

* Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues

* Collect and compile statistical quality data

* Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system

* Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions

* Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities

* Read and interpret GD&T and GM build objectives and implement controls for

* verifying product compliance by utilizing various measurement tools

* Working knowledge of PFMEAs, control plans and operator instructions

Basic Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree - Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,

* Minimum of 3 Years work experience in the Automotive Industry (Quality)

* Strong experience identifying and fixing quality issues in mechanical parts, electrical parts, and assembled systems

* Experience influencing the design of test, assembly, calibration, and automation systems to minimize quality risks

* Experience developing manufacturing processes such as SOPs, gage R&R analysis, DOEs, PPAP, PFMEA, etc.

* Quantitative / analytic mindset to probe, test and decompose challenging system problems into root cause issues with strong, detail oriented skills to solve them

* A record of owning projects successfully and working in a fast paced environment
