Job Description

A client of ours in the medical device industry is seeking Systems Verification Technicians to be responsible for performing verification tests for hearing aids, accessories, manufacturing software, fitting software, mobile applications, programmers, their components and sub-systems. This position is also responsible for assisting in problem solving and issue resolution. This would be a great role for candidates with an electronics background. This has been a great starting point for entry level Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering grads. This position can work remote 75% of the time.

Position Duties:

1 Perform system verification tests

1 Conduct system verification tests as assigned following the defined test procedures

2 Document the configuration under test and the test results within existing tools

3 Ensure complete verification of the system requirements traced to the test procedure is achieved

4 Conduct a peer review of the test results, if needed

5 Report any test procedure gaps in JIRA

6 Clearly present results of assigned test procedures

2 Support products through development, manufacturing, and into continuation

1 Perform Alpha/Pilot device preparation as per the defined checklist

2 Provide support to Systems Design/Verification Engineers during Alpha/Pilot and Beta studies

3 Provide support to Systems Design/Verification Engineers during product ramp-up

4 Provide support to Systems Design/Verification Engineers in resolving issues pertaining to existing products

3 Identify and document system-level technical issues

1 Document technical issues identified during system verification with clear description of steps to reproduce and configuration under test in relevant tools

2 Provide regular updates on issues assigned in relevant tools

4 Participate in reviews of system requirements, test plans, test procedures, and test results

1 Review the document thoroughly in preparation for review meeting

2 Provide clear and concise feedback in a timely manner considering test gaps

5 Perform other duties commensurate with a technician

1 Clean and organize lab environment

2 Keep track of the calibration methods, requirements and due dates

3 Support parts and equipment purchases

4 Support process improvements and lean product development efforts

5 Provide efficient, systematic and well documented feedback for the assigned tasks

Position Requirements:

* Minimum 2-year Electronic Technician degree/certificate or equivalent is required. Will also consider entry level Electrical Engineers, Computer Engineering grads, Physics grads or related field.

* Basic to Intermediate knowledge of microelectronic circuits and components required

* Basic to Intermediate knowledge of common business software required (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)

* Basic to Intermediate knowledge of product development processes for microelectronic circuits required

* Basic to Intermediate knowledge of bench top test instrumentation control and use

* Basic to Intermediate knowledge of verification methodologies

* Basic to Intermediate knowledge of software development methodologies

* Basic to Intermediate knowledge of ANSI, IEC, and homologation standards desirable
