Job Description

Manpower is looking for Certified Utility Tree Trimmers / Utility Arborists to work for one of our clients to start immediately.

What is the job?



* Uses handsaws, pruning hooks, sheers, and clippers to prune and manage growth of trees and shrubs.

* Trims, tops, and reshapes trees to remove low-hanging branches and to create more attractive shapes.

* Removes dead and excess branches from trees and/or from around power lines.

* Operates truck-mounted lifts, power pruners, boom trucks, loaders, tractors, power saws, and other necessary equipment and tools.

* Climbs trees or ladders to access work areas using climbing hooks or belts as needed.

* Executes recommendations of tree surgeons in pruning, cutting down, fertilizing, and spraying trees.

* Fosters healing and impedes decay by filling cavities in trees.

* Maintains tools and equipment by cleaning, sharpening, and lubricating.

* Safely operates shredding and chipping equipment, feeding limbs and brush into machines.

* Loads and hauls away debris and trash.

* Adheres to all applicable safety rules and regulations.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

* Other duties as assigned



What do you bring to the job?



* High school diploma or equivalent is a must

* Certified Utility Tree Trimmer or Certified Utility Arborist is an asset.

* 1-5 year's experience performing pruning and removals from rope and saddle, and aerial lift

* Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

* Advanced chainsaw and chipper operation

* Strong tree and shrub identification skills

* Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress

* Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills

* Posses a valid class 5 drivers license

* Posses a valid first aid training certificate

* Able to provide drivers abstract

* Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments in various weather conditions.

* Able to pass background checks is needed

* Will start immediately
