Job Description

Manpower is looking for Welder/Torch Cutter for permanent full-time roles. These roles will commence immediately.

What is the job?



* To cut scrap steel to size using a cutting torch

* Keep equipment serviced by conducting routine maintenance and completing minor

* Report any damages or issues to the supervisor

* To always follow established safe work practices, including wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE) or clothing

* Other duties as assigned.



What do you bring to the job?



* High school diploma or equivalent

* 2-3 years' previous work experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar scrapyard/auto part environment will be considered an asset

* Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift to a maximum of 70 pounds.

* Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, moderate to heavy lifting and pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds throughout the day

* Willing and able to work in variable weather conditions including hot, dry summer conditions and cold, harsh winter conditions

* Ability to work with minimal supervision or general oversight

* Ability to communicate clearly as including using a handheld radio

* Able to have their own transportation or vehicle is a must.

* Able to provide 3 - 5 professional reference is a must.

* Basic proficiency in relevant computer applications

* Able to pass a background check is a must.

* Willing and able to work shift work

* Able to pass a substance test.

* Will starts immediately.
