Job Description

Our client is in their search for an experienced and proven consultative/solutions-based outside sales representative to join their team located in East Rochester, NY. This role is responsible for the development of business-to-business (B2B) sales opportunities in the Rochester market amongst the commercial, government, healthcare and education segments. This is a DIRECT-HIRE opportunity offering a competitive compensation and benefits package!


* Identifies prospects and potential customers through referrals, networking, associations, business journals, web sites, etc.

* Researches and investigates all prospects' product, industry, structure, and potential as future client in order to qualify lead and develop an effective call or first contact strategy and sales plan.

* Executes call or first contact strategy and establishes rapport or follow-up with prospects; schedules consultative meetings and presentations to obtain future business.

* Serve as primary point of contact and communication with customer as warranted.

* Help to establish, develop and maintain the desired levels of customer satisfaction of each account.

* Prepare quotation requests and RFP's for clients review.

* Develop and enter a budget, create pricing, determine profit margin, and align internal resources (project management, design, account management, and other services) for execution of sales. Outlining product specifications, customer pricing, delivery and installation timeframes, budgets and product lead times.


* Bachelor's or Master's degree with a concentration in Marketing, Promotions, Advertising Sales, or Business Administration preferred

* At least 2 - 3 years of B2B sales experience
