    Our client is Surrey has an excellent opportunity for a Machine Operator with experience with rotating equipment to be responsible for set up, operate and control machines (calendar and mill) on their afternoon shifts.

    Key responsibilities:
    *Set up, operate and tend machinery used for mixing, calendering, extruding, moulding and curing rubber materials or rubber products.
    *Load or feed rubber, pigments, filler, oil and chemicals into machines
    *Check and monitor processing conditions and product quality
    *Adjust machines to proper setting as required
    *Operate machines or equipment or use hand tools to cut, shape, splice, fit and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products
    *Carry out production, inspection and machine operation duties
    *Effectively utilize various precision tools and measuring instruments such as vernier, micrometers, levels, gauge blocks and other tooling as required
    *Fix issues that might occur during the shift
    *Test operation of machines periodically
    *Perform all duties while respecting and following safety procedures and using provided personal protective equipment
    *Maintain a safe and clean work space

    Requirements

    *4 years' experience in the manufacturing sector with working knowledge of types of calendars and mills.
    *Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and manuals
    *Excellent math skills
    *Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs easily
    *High school diploma, technical degree an asset
    *H&S focus in all aspects of the work

    Heavy Duty Mechanic - Red Seal

    We are currently recruiting for the position of Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic for our client located in Surrey BC.

    Rate of pay: $45 / HR + Benefits (Average red seal heavy duty mechanic make around 120k a year)

    Hours: Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm (Need to be open to Over time)

    There will be a requirement to travel for up to 4 days at a time.

    Job Duties:
    Our client is a very large marine based company in Surrey. They require a skilled heavy duty mechanic to repair large cranes, diesel engines, generators and more. Some travel to Northern BC and Vancouver Island is required.

    Job Requirements:
    Must have your red seal certification as well as 2 - 3 years of practical experience working on marine or mining vehicles and equipment. Must be willing to travel.

    We are currently recruiting for the position of MECHANICAL ENGINEER for our client located in 100 Mile House BC. This is a 1 YEAR CONTRACT position with our client.

    Job Description:
    · Create/develop Mechanical Engineering Work Package (EWP) used in the repair and maintenance of process piping, vessels and equipment.

    · Liaise with Contractors and Operations to ensure that EWPs are executed as per instructions

    · Review Contractor Welding Procedures Specification and Qualifications for accuracy and completeness

    · Review MTRs, ITPs, QA/QC documents submitted by contactors for fabrication

    · Provide support for mechanical related reliability work and standards with broad application across client's facilities in the Fort St John area.

    · Liaise with Discipline Engineering team by utilizing spec deviation or material waiver approval process to ensure that corporate standards, codes and approved materials are used for repairs and new constructions

    · Ensure MOC process is followed as per company procedures and standards

    · Provide technical support to Project teams as required from design to commissioning

    · Take part in, and provide mechanical engineering expert guidance during facility baseline or revalidation HAZOPs

    · Support root cause analyses to identify and resolve root condition issues and eliminate critical defects when required

    · Assess pending and new legislation for impact on Company activities and help identify and address potential risks.

    · Provide technical support to ensure ongoing systems reliability, safety, efficiency, optimization, and environmental compliance.

    Job Requirements:

    · University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar from an accredited university

    · Registration as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).

    o Registration with similar provincial body is acceptability but must obtain registration with EGBC within 3 months.

    · Min 5 years related engineering experience in natural gas processing facility/plant.

    · Experience with federal and provincial regulations, applicable to natural gas processing facilities.

    · Demonstrable knowledge of mechanical codes and standards (ASME B31, API, CSA, National Board).

    · Knowledge of QA/QC steps and procedures with the ability to read and understand WPS, WPQ, PQR, ITP, MTR.

    · Process plant based mechanical equipment and systems engineering experience in design, troubleshooting and repairs.

    · Experience applying root cause failure analysis (RCFA), hazard analysis, and risk assessment principles.

    · Ability to work in a team environment

    · Strong English in verbal and written communication skills.

    · Basic computer skills including spreadsheets and word processing

    · Must possess good driving record and readiness to travel to remote facility locations

    *Liaise with Manufacturing to produce BOMs, MTOs and job travelers

    Requirements:
    *3-5 years of experience in an estimating and/or quoting role.
    *Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
    *Experience or exposure to ERP software is considered an asset
    *Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents including drawings, RFQs, RFPs, and engineering specifications
    *Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, both external and internal
    *Above average numerical skills to understand, interpret and troubleshoot complex engineering problems and commercial aspects of product estimation
    *Preference given to applicants with experience in a fabrication environment, especially piping
    *Specialized training in Microsoft Excel would be a very big asset
