    * Responsible for validation of project progress, construction resource usage, schedule and preparation of identified construction trends and changes
    * Providing input into squad checks and project reviews
    * Providing technical support to commissioning activities
    * Approving key schedules and execution methodologies
    * Reviewing/recommending/negotiating contractor change orders
    * Ensuring non-conformance's are resolved
    * Participating in bid package development and evaluation
    * Providing primary input into contractor performance evaluations
    * Interfacing with plant personnel and with engineering as appropriate

    Manpower is in need of a Shipment Coordinator II with Oil and Gas Experience!

    Shipment Coordinator II
    Baytown, Texas
    $17.00 per hour

    MAIN FUNCTIONS
    Responsible for the logistics related to processing of customer orders.
    Coordinates with sales staff, dispatchers, customer service representatives, warehouse staff and shipping/receiving.
    Answers inquiries from customers and investigates complaints regarding services and policies.
    Input, update and consolidate ETA/shipping data and send to appropriate business units.
    Analyzes load information from customers in order to determine and verify the appropriate routes, rates, and schedules. Coordinates shipment schedules with vendors.
    Position will receive direction and support.
    This position would typically include senior Logistics Coordinators with extensive prior experience.
    Additional responsibilities include to liaise with Customs/Excise officers and other 3rd party, verify shipping documents for endorsement, prepare cover letter with the endorsed documents and send to 3rd party Trades and Affiliates.
    Familiar with trade regulations.
    Actualize voyages and initiate freight payment/billing by completing voyages online.
    Verifying billing invoices from vendor and reconcile differences in Intercompany Invoicing System (INNET) invoices.
    Follow up with supplying source on credit/debit.
    Troubleshoot system issue in the day-to-day operation.
    Identify dollar savings through transportation optimization. Analyze transportation spend and recommend optimization opportunities.
    Assist in generation of dead stock / slow moving /excessive imported inventory disposal and redeployment plan.
    Able to work with minimal supervision and provide training to junior Logistics Coordinators.

    Manpower is an experienced Construction Field Engineer (Mechanical) to fulfill a contract position. This role is for Junior to Intermediate candidates.

    The working schedule will be 4 X 10's and the hours are 7:30am - 6:00pm. Preference will be given to candidates whom residing in the Central Alberta area.

    This role reports to the Construction Team Leader and you will work closely with members of the Engineering and Construction Management teams to ensure the safe, timely, and cost effective delivery of construction services to the business units.

    The primary role of the Field Construction Engineer is to provide Technical / Engineering support for the field construction activities on the Capital Projects located at the Joffre Manufacturing Site. The Field Construction Engineer is the focal point for all field technical problems and issues during construction. They assist the Construction Managers in technical decision-making and ensures all changes, which have an impact on the design or design intent, are duly engineered, recorded and communicated to the responsible Project Leader.

    Specific responsibilities of the Field Construction Engineer include, but are not limited to:
    * Proactively search for and resolve potential field problems.
    * Provide timely responses to all construction issues relating to the drawings, specifications, and construction implementation
    * Coordinate timely responses to Requests for Information (RFI) as required.
    * Provide field engineering sketches, drawings, specifications, and other documentation, as required, for all field designed and procured items
    * Provide engineering input and support for all scope Change Orders (CO) and trends as required.
    * Expedite the release of any drawings.
    * Ensure, in conjunction with the Construction Manager and QA personnel, that all changes to the original design are approved and properly documented (including as-built markups)
    * Assist in verifying the status of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) reported by Contractors or QA resources.
    * Maintain liaison on engineering matters with Technical Services Project Teams / External Engineering (EPC) personnel as required.
    * Support department Field Trouble Report (FTR) System.
    * Regularly report FTR status in relation to impacts on construction progress.
    * Support analysis of FTR System Data for trends, regularly report findings and recommend improvement initiatives.
    * Support field safety audits as appropriate.
    * Provide necessary support and/or resources to all members of the Construction Management Team as required.

    Qualifications:
    * BSc Mechanical Engineering
    * P.Eng. Designation would be asset but not a requirement
    * Plant experience an asset
