    This is a 6 month assignment paying $19 per hour.
    Monday to Friday 8/9-4/5(37.5 hour work week)

    This individual will provide data analysis and entry support for the global skin care category. This individual will assist engineers with analyzing data using a computer program (Minitab) to review the dimensional performance of a component against a specification. The output of the Minitab program (graphs / charts) will need to be consolidated by the individual into Microsoft Excel for the engineer to allow proper interpretation and feedback to the component supplier. Additionally, the individual will work within a specification system (PLM) to confirm select attributes of specifications / enter data into the specification system and help create reports from the data within PLM.

    Requirements:
    Minimum high school diploma
    Organized individual with ability to handle multiple testing activities Someone who can follow instructions Prior Lab experience is a plus but not required Strong communication skills Computer literate - able to operate Microsoft Office programs - word, power point, excel Analytical thinker

    The design team is responsible for the global development of personal cleansing brands. As a lab technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the formulation development of new global innovations for cleansing products. Day to day responsibilities will include:
    - Following process instructions to formulate various cleansing formulations.
    - Maintaining a laboratory notebook which captures formulation details, processing steps, and time/temperature notes for the duration of each formulation batch.
    - Managing the laboratory inventory of raw materials (surfactants, acids, bases, etc.) ensuring the lab area is appropriately stocked.
    - Filling, labeling and shipping prototype samples for consumer testing.
    - Maintaining a clean and safe laboratory work area while adhering to Unilever safety protocols.
    - Analyzing product attributes including pH, viscosity, rheology, density, appearance, and color.

    Requirements for this position include:
    4 year degree preferred but manager is flexible on this if experience level is there
    - At least 2 years of laboratory experience (college level or professional)
    - Proficiency with laboratory skills including:
    o Acid base titrations
    o Making solutions
    o pH measurements
    o Basic laboratory equipment; hot plates, heating mantles, mixing units, etc.
    o Viscosity and rheology measurements
    - Intermediate computer skills
    o Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency required
    - Employee must be able to occasionally lift up to 35lbs
    - Employee must be able to be on their feet for a significant portion of the day

    * Flexibility to work in other QC labs as needed.

    Bachelor's degree in a science related field, preferably Chemistry or Biology. The ability to organize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously is a must.
