SRC telephone interviewers are an important part of the survey process and are responsible for accurate and thorough data collection. Interviewers communicate the reason for the call, answer questions about the projects, and seek to get individuals to participate in the studies. The data collected is about important topics like health, careers, confidence in the economy, family and friends in your social network, risk for suicide among teens and soldiers, and many others.

    Research Associate II -Frederick
    Great long-term contract opportunity in Frederick for a Research Associate II. In this position, you'll be responsible for:

    * Accessioning paraffin blocks from inventory, overseeing their sectioning by histology lab services
    * Staining the sections
    * Delivering the stained sections to the for analysis
    * Retrieving the imaging files from the lab
    * Supervised image analysis and presentation of these R&D findings to scientific staff

    You bring at least 3 years of experience in immunohistology or histology in a lab environment, or as applied to R&D projects in a research lab, along with a related Bachelors of Science degree and:

    * Experience in the following areas:
    o preparation, immunohistochemical staining, and microscopy of paraffin-embedded specimens
    o handling and evaluating antibody preparations
    o development of immunohistochemical assays
    * Experience complying with assay SOPs and other controlled laboratory processes
    * Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs
    * Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance

In order to be considered for this position an individual must have the ability to wear a respirator and handle hazardous chemicals on a daily basis including pouring into a 55 gallon drum, Ability to lift 50 pounds, and be Comfortable with climbing step ladders up to 10 feet

Certifies final products and ensures that all products meet trade standards before release. •Follows quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of test results. •Assists the Quality Manager with the inventory and ordering supplies to ensure efficient laboratory operations. •Supports the Safety and Environmental Compliance Manager/Operations/Commodities teams as directed by supervisor. Additional Responsibilities: •Ensures work area is kept clean and free from safety hazards which requires regular bending and occasional lifting. •Completes tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager and Plant Manager. •Participates in company Feed Safety Program/SHE programs and has the ability to lead in these areas. •Accepts/carries out/completes other duties as assigned.
