    Our client in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia is looking to grow their team of Production Labourers. Are you looking for a job that will offer you a better salary? Career growth? Stability? You can expect a minimum pay rate of $15.86 and up with overtime and double time being offered. This is a contract position with the potential to go permanent with the client.

    As a Production Laborer you will:
    - Work various posts on a fast-paced production line
    - Operate food processing equipment, maintain supplies, mix ingredients and assess food items quality
    - Load, unload, saw raw materials, weigh & separate materials and product
    - Inspect product on screens
    - Operate machinery and equipment
    - Move product and materials
    - Clean and maintain workspace
    - Seal and pack product
    - Stand for long periods of time (8hrs)

    You are a safety conscious person who is physically able to perform jobs which require bending, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting. You will have steel toe work boots and can complete tasks which require you to read, write, and do basic math. You will also have a clean criminal record and are flexible to work various shifts. Reliable transportation to and from work is required.

    In this position you will be lifting up to 50lbs continuously and working in a noisy work environment which can also be wet or dusty. There is earning potential with $23.79/hr on Saturdays and $31.72/hr on Sundays.

    On behalf of our client, Manpower is hiring for a full-time receiver position located in the South Shore of Nova Scotia. This is a day job with regular, guaranteed hours. For this role, you need to have a clean criminal record check (processed by Manpower at no cost to you).
    As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have a mixture of warehouse and clerical experience. You will be familiar with shipping and receiving procedures, have strong computer skills, and be comfortable with customer service duties, both in person and on the phone. Other duties will include:
    Counting parts
    Lifting and moving parts (typically 25 lbs but could be up to 50lbs)
    Preparing parts for shipping (creating shipping documents, boxing product, labeling)
    Assisting with receiving parts
    Helping out the rest of the team with their tasks
    A mix of lifting, clerical duties and possibly driving a forklift
    The successful candidate will have the following traits and abilities:
    Lift heavy items consistently
    Attention to detail
    Data entry skills (computer competence)
    Customer service skills (in person/ on phone)
    Ability to work well with others as well as independently
    Organizational skills
    Understanding of Microsoft Excel

    This is a full time position for 2 months (hours of 7:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday, with the occasional Saturday) at a pay rate of $12.00 an hour. The work location is in Halifax and is easily accessible by public transit.
