Job Description

Manpower will need one Assembly Technician II to begin in mid-October. This position will include performing testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of electronic and electro-mechanical products of the Transportation systems Division, Propulsion and Controls.

What's in it for you?

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM - with a half hour unpaid for lunch and two fifteen minute paid breaks

Travel: Rare to none, but must have ability to travel when required.

Pay rate: $25.00/per hour

What is the job?

* Perform functional acceptance testing on Transportation products in accordance with documented processes, procedures and instructions using electronic testing, diagnostic and measuring devices. Such devices include meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and function generators.

* Perform high voltage insulation testing and continuity testing on products in accordance with documented processes, procedures, and instructions.

* Perform basic troubleshooting on products to isolate causes of failures.

* Assemble and disassemble products in preparing, conducting and completing product testing.

* Perform visual inspection of test equipment for potential hazards and failures.

* Perform all wiring tasks on MEPPI products according to drawings and Company specifications.

* Perform all testing requirements to ensure products meet quality and test requirements.

* Transport and lift products with use of pallet jack, carts, dollies, cranes or other material handling equipment as required.

* Complete test record documentation such as check sheet and failure reporting.

* Complete daily reporting documentation in accordance with company and divisional policies and procedures.

* Perform any of the Assembly Technician duties and responsibilities as needed.

What you bring to the job?

* Associates Degree in Electronics or related-technical field, plus minimum four years' prior experience in the assembly/ manufacture and testing of electro-mechanical products, or equivalent education and experience.

* Developed mechanical skills as demonstrated by the proper use of hand and power tools.

* Developed electrical skills as demonstrated by proper wiring and assembly techniques.

* Developed problem solving skills.

* General computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products and ERP systems.

* Ability to safely and correctly use hand and power tools and measurement devices.

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
