Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Coordinator position is a key support role within the Site Supply Chain organization. This position is responsible for the understanding and application of supply chain management concepts in a global business environment. The primary responsibilities of this position are to ensure continuity of materials supply, quality, and overall cost management consistent with Company policy and financial and operational performance standards and objectives. Key Performance Indicators include customer service levels, production schedule attainment, and inventory range of coverage.

Responsibilities:
Technical Competencies: Purchasing
* Understand specifications in terms of optimal quantity to purchase, quality required, and the cost impact on budget.
* Coordinate or participate in material or supplier change order process involving blueprints, product specifications, test specifications, and other related documents. Ensure smooth transition of changes.
* Support purchasing cycle including generation of purchase orders, purchase order follow up with suppliers, goods reception, and final payment
* Execute administrative aspects of the Supplier Scorecard program
* Provide an uninterrupted flow of materials and services at a competitive cost.

Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

* Thoroughly understand MRP and all system aspects affecting the calculation of requirements, receipts, orders, and projected availability for a basic MRP record such as: capacity requirements planning, master production scheduling, product structure file, inventory record file, item master file, and bill of material.
* Create, monitor, verify for data accuracy and maintain applicable master data in the
ERP system.

Inventory management

* Minimize inventory investment by managing inventories to optimal levels based on manufacturing requirements and company financial objectives as defined in the KPIs.
* In collaboration with site supply chain team, manage a spend of approximately $81
Million per year for materials and services.
* Effectively manage surplus and obsolete inventories.

Process improvement and cost savings
* Identify process and system improvement opportunities and, using root cause analysis and other lean tools, determine and implement solutions that drive inventory reduction and elimination of non-value added activities
* Control incoming freight and handling costs

Other
* Provide support as needed to the roles of Detailed Scheduler and Warehouse
Material Coordinator
* Accurately identify risks that affect supply and assist with risk mitigation strategies
* Understanding of operations strategy, manufacturing process environments, and standards
* Pursue paperless documentation

Required:
* Some college in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field
* Above average analytical skills

* ERP systems knowledge highly desired
* Knowledge of GMP and FDA regulations preferred
