Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator career opportunity is available with a world leading industrial company based in York, PA. This position is responsible for preparing all necessary documents needed for international shipping and ensuring shipments move in a cost effective and timely manner.

Duties include:

* Manage the logistics process to ensure timely and cost effective international shipping.

* Prepare and execute all documents needed for international shipping.

* Work with Purchasing & Technical Team to gather all needed shipping information

* Manage AES/ISF process for 3rd party shipment moves.

* Obtain tracking info from warehouses/forwarders and input data into SAP.

* Communicate with shipper, freight forwarder and consignee to facilitate shipment.

* Liaison among International Customer Service Representatives, forwarders and warehouses.

* Follow-up on shipments to confirm delivery and close files.

* Ensure that all documentation is in line with Customs Compliance programs.

* Identify and notify Logistics Manager of workload status and potential problem areas.

* Performs other miscellaneous duties and/or other special projects as required.

Requirements:

* Minimum 2 year associate degree or equivalent experience or a minimum of 1 -2 years' experience in logistics (international).

* Experience and knowledge of customs documentation requirements (Proforma Invoice, Commercial Invoice, Packing list, Certificate of Origin, FTA's, Air waybills, Ocean bills of lading, Truck bills of lading )

* Experience across multiple modes of transportation, including LTL, Truckload, intermodal, air, ocean, rail and barge.

* Familiar with ISF, AES, ISPM15, HTS codes, Schedule B codes, Inco Terms and ECCN.

* High level of computer skills (SAP experience is a plus).

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Excellent organization skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to details.

* Possesses a sense of urgency to both internal and external customers.

* Ability to make quick, accurate decisions relative to problem solution & problem liability.

* Display analytical thinking skills while working well with others

* Ability to handle multiple projects in an ever-changing environment.

* Develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.

* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships

* Be flexible and available to interact with customers as required

* Highly motivated with the ability to work under stress, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects at any given time.

* Ability to understand issues domestically and internationally and communicate effectively with all facets of the Supply Chain.
