Job Description

Location: Union City, CA (relocation package not included)Title: HR Generalist IIDuration: Direct HireSalary: $54K - $94K DOE

Essential Duties:

Design and administer human resources policies and procedures, including compliance with federal and state regulations, that cover two or more functional areas

Initiate process improvement by collecting and analyzing HR data, and making recommendations to management in functional areas of responsibility.

Resolve employee relations issues by providing consultation to management and employees; take appropriate steps to facilitate resolution.

Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, and/or company policies

Develop and present training sessions as required

Assess and make recommendations to improve communications programs for comprehensiveness, effectiveness and improvement opportunities

Analyze the effectiveness of processes such as Performance Management (PIP), hiring, compensation, etc

Evaluate reports and metrics for functional areas of responsibility in relation to department goals; develop action plans to address shortfalls and gaps

Participate in developing departments goals and objectives

May lead or direct the work of others within the department

Work independently with minimal supervision

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

In depth knowledge of two or more HR functional areas

Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations

Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to coach, counsel, and mentor employees at all levels within the organization

Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment

Excellent customer service skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Strong MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs.

Education & Experience:

5-7+ years human resources or related work experience

B.S. or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experience

PHY or other similar certification
