Job Description

Project Engineer position available with a leading North American Pharmaceutical manufacturing company. Position available due to growth and new projects upcoming. The incumbent will be involved with undertaking engineering projects at the Brockville facility to enhance existing production for strategic growth.

- PM experienced, and line installation and equipment and eye to production efficiency

- Improvement and optimize

- will oversee the installation, and to identify and execute longer-term opportunities to enhance plant efficiency and profitability.

- provide technical leadership on process design, operation and implementation; by identifying and driving improved equipment reliability and financial performance.


* Develop work instructions, standards, process documentation and supporting training across all plant functions;

* Design, compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and material specifications.

* Work in conjunction with Engineering in the design for cost, assembly, installation and manufacturability;

* Work closely with product development and the plant production teams to ensure new product development and commissioning processes are efficient and effective;

* Partner with the technical services, procurement and packaging teams to optimize production processes and minimize cost to manufacture;

* Identify and understand the costs to manufacture for multiple process alternatives and determine the most cost efficient method;

* As a member of the management team, responsible for safety, quality, efficiency, equipment reliability, financial performance, and team development within the Kitchener Facility;

* Support all plant functions in Troubleshooting ongoing process challenges and partnering with functional managers in delivering solutions;

* Assist in the preparation of budgets for construction, capital, and operating expenditures;


* Degree in Engineering or related discipline (Professional Engineering designation preferred);

* Minimum of three years' experience in process development, within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred.

* Impeccable analytic and statistical analysis skills with strength in Lean Six Sigma methodology;

* Able to work as part of a team across all business functions and communicate effectively to all levels of the business;

* Able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines; and be able to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned projects.

* Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
