Job Description

The social media specialist creates and manages content for the company's social media platforms and websites, overseeing the company's presence and relationships with online constituencies in an evolving new media environment.



Oversee and actively manage content and conversations on company's Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, YouTube, Linked In, and possibly others. Produce a daily stream of information, spot photos and videos about important events and daily life for posting to the company's social media platforms.



Regularly monitor and respond as appropriate to company-related discussions on a variety of social media platforms, including discussion boards.

Coordinate with company departments to conceptualize and manage innovative social media projects that actively engage key audiences.



Collect and assess social media analytics data, stay informed of the evolving social media environment, maintain company presence on all appropriate social media platforms, consistently grow company's online social media community and create effective strategies to utilize social media on behalf of the company.



Further develop company's social media policy and keep it current with evolving technology and best practices in social media management. Oversee the account ownership and management of department and organization social media accounts.



Conduct frequent social media training sessions with the company staff, with an emphasis on those who use social media accounts on behalf of the company



Compile and monitor best practices for effectively monitoring social media and using social platforms to distribute information regarding new product, services, updates.



Bring a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; prefer majors in communications, journalism, or marketing. Extensive computer software skills, especially in Adobe Creative Suite. Experience using Facebook, Twitter and many other social media platforms.
