Job Description

This position requires daily interaction with suppliers and the Master Scheduler to assure accurate supply for the machines using raw materials. In addition to keeping ERP (Plex) data accurate, this position handles expediting with the supply base and coordination with the plant to provide proper plant service support in regards to daily and forecasted production requirements to meet customer demand.

Job Duties:

* Schedule and coordinate the efficient delivery of raw materials through the supply chain to satisfy scheduled demand

* Analyze and comprehend schedules, customer demand, trends, and forecasts to verify the raw material plan will satisfy those demands while ensuring the equipment can run in the most efficient order. Discovery of any potential delivery problems requires immediate notification to the Master Scheduler and Materials Manager. The Materials Analyst will assist in crafting a new schedule to minimize customer delivery problems and maximize the plant operating efficiency.

* Build/establish strategic relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors

* Manage raw inventory to ensure correct inventory levels are kept throughout the supply chain

* Evaluate total supply chain costs to identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership

* Act as a backup to the Master Scheduler for vacation or illness

Qualification Requirements:

This position requires an individual to have excellent communication skills (oral & written), ability to work in a team environment, make good/quick decisions in a fast paced environment. Knowledge of best practices in supply chain management and a willingness to improve the knowledge as new processes, software, and methodologies become availab

Knowledge: Understanding MRP, forecasting, and receiving processes is a must. The position requires the use of the standard office software (email, Word Processor, and Spreadsheet).

Skills and Abilities: A general working knowledge of the Plex software is a plus. Understanding purchasing, contracts, and strategic supplier relationships is desired.


A minimum of a high school education with two years experience in scheduling and coordinating the efficient distribution of products to satisfy customer demand in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment is required. An Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred.

Physical Requirements: Basic walking and sitting along with using traditional office equipment
