Job Description

Water Restoration Technician

Manpower is hiring a Water Restoration Technician to fulfill a temporary position with the possibility of turning into a permanent role

Hours: Regular full time hours, in addition must be available for on call work

Location: NE Calgary, AB

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

*Working with project managers in assessing in processing flood and fire damages

*Use moisture testing instruments, assist in writing the job scope , layout and drying protocol and moisture mapping plan

*Communicate, direct and delegate tasks to labourers

*Responsible for job related paperwork, timesheets and other documents

*Accurately calculate, necessary equipment required for each job

*Organize and run jobs in a resourceful and time efficient manner

*Practice on the job safety and encourage safety among the team

*Order, pick and return drying and dehumidification equipment from warehouse or outside facilities

*Install, operate and maintain all equipment safely and appropriately

*Take asbestos samples and deliver specimen to the lab

*Report in at the beginning of each shift id a job is not already signed

*Provide onsite training for technicians and labourers

Qualifications and Requirements:

*Must have a valid Driver's License

*Excellent Customer Service skills

*Strong written & verbal communication

*Background check is mandatory

*Valid Asbestos ticket

*Up to date Irroc tickets (Certificate)
