Job Description

Manpower is currently recruiting for Patient Administrative Specialist.



JOB SUMMARY :

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, professional individual with excellent work ethics, people and phone skills. Job Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Warmly greets patients, reviews all necessary paperwork for admission, and verifies accuracy of patient's demographics, insurance identification number and company name/address. Prepares charts for the day to include patient estimates, history and physical, survey, and thank you cards. Prints all reports from MedTek, and makes any necessary corrections and forwards a copy to physician office/billing department by either mail, e-mail or fax. Responsible for answering and routing incoming calls to appropriate staff members. Responsible for maintaining open communication with nursing staff in regards to patient's admission, concerns, cancellations, new changes and patient pre/postoperative care status with family members or ride. Prepares medical record chart by gathering all necessary documents prior to surgery, (Surgeon Orders, History and Physical, Labs, EKG, Insurance Cards and Demographics, etc.) in an appropriate order per facility policy.



DUTIES :

Delivers consistently strong customer service to all patients.

Responsible for opening/closing of facility based on designated work shift.

Prepares charts for the day to include patient estimates, History and Physical, survey and thank you card.

Prints all reports from MedTek makes any necessary corrections and forwards a copy to physician office/billing department by either mail, e-mail or fax.

Responsible for answering and routing incoming calls to appropriate staff members.

Reviews all necessary paperwork for admission with patients and verifies accuracy of patient's demographics, insurance identification number and company name/address.

Document name and telephone number of responsible party driving the patient home after surgery.

Responsible for maintaining open communication with nursing staff in regards to patients admission, concerns, cancellations, new changes and patient pre/postoperative care status with family members or ride.



REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Minimum of 2 years of progressively patient front desk support experience.

Demonstrated excellence in customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication.

Ability to work independently with minimal instructions.

Strong interpersonal, operational and organizational skills with commitment to accuracy, detail, follow-up and follow-through. Ability to multi task.

Proficient in MS word, Excel and Outlook
