Job Description

Manpower is currently recruiting for a shipper receiver for a Mississauga area. Our client, an audiovisual event Technology Company is expanding and looking to add a dynamic, driven and committed job seeker to their growing team.

What's the job?



*Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment.

*Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify shipment accuracy.

*Pack, seal and label materials for shipping.

*Adhere to shipping/receiving policies/procedures, and regulatory compliance measures.

*Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and/or standards and complete appropriate documentation as required.

*Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.

*Complete daily shipping and receiving logs.

*May determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

*Record shipment data for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes.

*Confer and correspond with established representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to required specifications.

*Order and store shipping supplies to maintain stock inventory.

*Maintain cleanliness in the shipping and receiving areas.

*Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, etc.

*Complete incident reports in relation to health and safety issues or material spills.

*Ensure and maintain a healthy and safe working environment at all times

*Other duties as assigned



What you bring to the job?



*Enthusiasm , drive and team spirit

*Second School Graduate or equivalent

*Commitment to exceptional customer service / exceeding client expectations

*Able to work independently and exercise autonomy in decision making

*Effective team player willing to assist other business areas as appropriate

*Strong organizational skills

*Strong communication skills and excellent organizational skills

*Minimum of 3 years' experience in a shipping/receiving role or similar

*Certified forklift operator ( Raymond Reach)

*Ability to lift up (50) pounds

*Experienced in processing courier and carrier shipments for both domestic/international destinations

*Intermediate to advance Microsoft Office skills

*Ability to work flexible hours on as needed
