Job Description

Our client in Burnaby - recognized as one of the most innovative and sustainable companies in the world - is looking for a Service Technician to join their team!



Bringing your education and or/experience in Electronics, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to diagnose issues quickly and correctly you will be providing after sales service and support in the areas of Card Access, Intrusion Monitoring, Fire Monitoring and CCTV systems in a 24-7/365 environment.



Job responsibilities:

*Attending to all service calls received from customers via the company dispatcher or directly

*Contacting customers following the notification of each service call as per procedures

*Assuring quality control through the completion of all scheduled preventive maintenance calls for assigned customer's equipment in accordance with the terms of service agreements

*Performing product installations, reconfigurations, removals or relocations as required from time to time; as well as site surveys as required

*Updating the dispatcher on the status of all calls, completed or work-in-progress, on a per call basis

*Maintaining service vehicle stock of all parts, supplies and equipment.



The requirements:

*College diploma (DEC) in electronics

*Excellent computer skills: A+ certification in progress or planned

*Ability to diagnose problems quickly and correctly

*Ability to work on 24 hour-on-call rotation (including weekends and holidays)

*Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

*Good writing skills

*Valid Driver's License
